Submissions Guidelines The Literary Review is now operating on a theme-issue format. Forthcoming themes include: How to Read Music (Spring 2010), The Worst Team Money Could Buy (Summer 2010), and Refrigerator Mothers> (Fall 2010). The themes are suggestive rather than prescriptive, and meant to be explored and developed in expansive and interesting ways. We welcome your submissions in poetry, fiction, literary non-fiction, and work in translation for any of our forthcoming themes. And we look forward to your creative interpretation of the themes as you consider what work to submit. Please note which issue(s) you are submitting to in your cover note / comments field. You may suggest a single work for several different applicable themes; or, submit different pieces simultaneously to different themes. You also have the option of making a general submission, without choosing to indicate a theme, but please remember that we are actively seeking work for these forthcoming issues. We look forward to your ideas and thank you for thinking of us! Translators, please note! Include information about the status of your permissions arrangement with the author you are translating (or the author's estate). If accepted, it is the translator's responsibility to secure permissions. We are especially grateful for your translations, and for your contributions to a diversified and broad reading experience from authors writing in other languages.
Our reading period begins September 15, 2009 How to use The Literary Review Submission Manager: If you already have an account, you do not need to use this form.
